We Bought a Boat....A DREAM COME TRUE!!!

Towards the end of the summer we bought a boat with another family, the Fotheringhams. They are the best boat partners EVER!!!! Our families are in the same stage in life and we couldn't be happier!!! Our kids have so much fun together!!!

I grew up boating with my family and just have loved it my whole life. I never dreamed that we would have a boat at this time. It all fell into place and I am one happy girl!!!

This was Jake's 2nd Triathlon and Layton's 1st. I am so proud of my boys. They both did awesome!!!!

Favorite place to eat in Couer d'Alene

So I have an awesome friend, Kristi, who when I told her I am from Moses Lake asked if I knew Jane Payne. I said no and then she proceeded to tell me what an amazing woman she was. So Scott and I went to go meet her and give Kristi some photos and video log while we were there. And she's right, Jane is pretty amazing!!! So glad I was able to meet her.

We were able to hook with with Kat and Briel and their sweet girls. Briel and I were probably each other's first really great friends. We have lots of memories exploring the pastures together and jumping off trucks together and spending the summer going to the pool together and I loved riding in their VW van...that was a highlight for me. It was so great to catch up and meet his sweet wife and girls!!!

When my brother Brent came to visit, my boys watched everything he did and were his shadow, I loved it!!

Here are some shots on the lake....good ol' Moses Lake!!! My parents were so nice to take us out so much. The water really is our family's favorite activity together. My friend Heidi was able to come up for a day to just hang and I LOVED every second.

So life is crazy!!! Insanely busy.....so here is an attempt to get caught up on the blogski. Hold tight, there are still a million and one posts coming from WA. What do you expect, we were there for over 3 weeks. It was a blast.

Here is a post dedicated to the dirt bikes. See my brother Brent is one of the coolest people I know. He dabs into everything. I LOVE that he loves dirt bikes and so do my kids. Here are photos of Brent teaching them to ride dirt bikes and my boys LOVED every.single.second!!!!

My boys get their fix for tractors because of Uncle Don. He took us for a ride in the swather. The boys LOVED it. We even rode our bikes to his field which is right next to a small airport.

Little man learned to ride his bike with no training wheels. D knew that Nanner got a bunch of bikes at garage sales, but none of them had training wheels. He was determined to learn. He learned within 30 minutes of getting there.....it was awesome and I was so proud.

Our Time in Washington

My parents have the perfect backyard for little kids.....grass, fire pit, dirt....what more can a little boy ask for. They have a boat too and we went all the time while we were there. It was a trip to remember for sure. Enjoy the photos!!

We made it to Seattle and hit up Pike's Market right away. Then we found this sweet trail down to the Puget Sound. The photos are backwards as always.

California 2011-Part 1

We decided to make one long huge trip out of our summer vacation this year. We headed to California and vacationed there with Scott's Grandma like we do every year. Nanette and Mark's family were there also. We had a fabulous time!!! Then we drove all the way up the coast to Washington where we are now spending time with my parents.

Here's Dallin's little crew. These kids were suck a great group of kids.

We have Piper, Dallin, Millie, Sydney, and Luke.

We did a mom swap preschool for them. It was great. Dallin LOVED it!!

Layton finished preschool with Miss Heather. He's learned quite a lot this year. I did this book with the Jake and Layton....Teach Your Kids How to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. So Layton learned to read this year. It is so fun to watch him enjoy reading. Way to go Layton!!!

Life is quite the journey.....so much harder than I EVER imagined. I am so lucky I have you, Scott, to travel this journey with. You inspire me in so many ways. You keep me going when day seem so hard. You are amazing with our sweet boys. You are amazing with me. I am the luckiest person to be the other half of 'US'!!! The potential that 'I' can become doesn't even compare to the potential that 'WE' can become. We have to much in store and so much to experience.....we've got 9 incredible years together....here's to the next Eternity!!!!!!

So some people may have noticed I haven't blogged regularly since the summer....so I'm getting back on track. Here is our annual trip to Sherman Oaks to visit Grandma Murset....from BACK in July. We always make a pit stop in Vegas to visit Scott's Brother Mark and his family. This year we also made a stop in St George to visit a dear friend Lyndi and her hubby Isaac and they showed us the Crack....my boys loved it. From the beach to Zelpha's pool to hangin at Grandma's house, we LOVE every second. I was even able to see another friend Maggie and her little girl. Scott's parents, David and Nanette, and his sister, Dana and her kids were there too. Once again the photos are backwards from our trip. And Once again there are WAY TOO MANY photos.....it sure is a trip we look forward to every year.

We had a Layton Family Reunion at Lake Powell this year. Honestly, that was one of the best vacations for our family. We LOVE boating and being in the water nonstop. My kids were in heaven. Kidless Weekend Get-a-way

Thanks to Dana and Nanette for watching our sick kids, Scott and I were able to have a nice kidless weekend with some great friends. There was skiing, snowmobiling, the olympics, lots of laughing and heart to hearts, great food and FABULOUS company. Thanks to the Millers for sharing their cabin, we had a wonderful time!!!

We really do have a blast with this group every time we are able to hook up!!!

So I am still trying to catch up. These photos are from back on October. Jake was so excited to change Dallin's diaper. It was so cute. As of yesterday Dallin doesn't wear diapers. First time in 5 1/2 years....to be honest, I'm kinda sad....my baby's growing up.

I know this post is 2 months late, but better late than never right?!!!! Here is our Halloween. Jake was an elephant again, Layton was Mushu again, and Dallin was a skeleton.

There was lots of snow for Halloween this year.

WA Trip and Layton's Birthday

My friend Tammy and I took our kids, we each have 3 boys, to Washington. Yes, 2 moms and 6 boys drove all the way from Colorado to Washington....leaving at 4am and getting there at 11:30pm(12:30 CO time). On the way there, we had a little obstacle, but quickly overcame it. While in Washington, we celebrated Layton's 4th birthday, carved pumpkins, saw family, and had a great time. Enjoy the photos!!!

I was really trying to take a photo of this deer that I hit. Poor guy. We were all okay....everyone but the deer. The car had minimal damage....still costing a lot, but we managed to get it fixed before we had to travel home.

Epic Lake Powell Trip

This is our Kidless Lake Powell Trip that Scott and I took last month. The Shubins kindly invited us along with 4 other couples. Scott an I had a blast. The first few photos are of every couple that was there(it was the last day, so we might look a little scary). So all these photos are backwards and there is a lot of them. We went to Sherman Oaks to to visit Scott's grandma whom we call GG. We always have a blast going to the beach and swimming in Zelfa's pool and hanging at GG's house. On the way home we stopped in Vegas and Scott's brother Mark blessed their new little guy, Luke. We had a family night with the Shubins back in August and we all had a blast. Jake even attemped to water ski with the U ski. He was a champ. Thanks Shubins for all the great times with you guys this summer. It's been amazing.

Back in July when Scott was still in the Young Men's, he took the Teacher's on a High Adventure backpacking trip. He had a wonderful time. He really misses working with those boys.
